Meet ‘Kriger’ – the sliding barn door console
A sliding barn door console has long been on my list of things to create. I thought this piece would end up in one of two spots in my home. Instead, this piece is going to auction for our neighbor and friend, Theresa. She’s had a rough year and we want to help her in any way possible.
Console need-to-knows
- Name: Kriger
- Size: 76″ wide x 36″ high x 19″ deep
- Body color: Natural linen white
- Top: Espresso wash
- Barn door hardware color: Steel gray
- Construction: Solid pine
- Magnetic barn door closures
- Handcrafted in Woodbury, MN

The Kriger console can be used as a media stand, kitchen buffet or room storage. It’s a versatile piece that looks good in a variety of locations.

The sliding barn door hardware is also handcrafted. Barn door hardware can be expensive and I find purchased hardware tough to use. You end up customizing the size of the piece to the hardware. Watch for a post on how to DIY your own barn door hardware.

Josh and I believe that simple pieces can have beautiful detail. The inspiration for this came from the Ana White Grandy console. We liked the look of the piece, but wanted to build something that was uniquely our own.
Bring this console home
